Anna Bauer ~Emma Green~

~She is sure Japan is in Asia~

Emma, the blond girl who used to go to Church Camps every year, is one of the main characters in Give Us Green Cards.
Very sweet and charming in the way that annoys you!
Her boyfriend is British and he has weird power on some of the main characters. You will see it in the pilot episode!

~Anna Bauer~

Anna Bauer has been acting on stage since she was five years old. A native to Atlanta, Georgia she was lucky enough to study and intern at Alliance Theatre. After graduating from High School she moved up to New York City to attend school at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Since graduating from AMDA she has done countless productions most recently the Off Broadway show "In the Room" as well as being chosen to participate in the Roger Smith Film Festival. She can also be seen quite frequently on the soap "One Life to Live." She is also now training for the ING NYC Marathon. Something that will surely challenge her in a new way!

What's Green Card?

Question: What's Green card?

Answer: It's a card, but it is not Green.

Wow, Green Card seems very complicated!
It's a card, but not green????!!!!

It's actually light yellow as you can see, but it was green long time ago, so it is called Green Cards.

GC is an identification card for aliens' permanent resident in America.

Permanent Residents........What a magical word!
Let's say PR stands for Permanent Residents instead of Public Relations from now on!
Basically, PR means "you can live in USA legally forever, and oh hey you can work here, too!"
That is what so many people love to be.

Yes, PR. If you are not citizenship in USA, you need a GC to be a PR.

(Too many abbreviation? Well, you'd better expect more for the future articles.)

Getting a GC is the only way to stay permanently in the states legally for non us citizens.

I am so tired of getting visas to stay in America!! Getting visas is a long process. You have interview with US embassy in your own countries. So many documents, and certain amount of money are required, and most of the visas expire in few years. You can not just apply for them with no reason. You need some sponsors such as your school or company in USA.

Way complicated. So, I need GC now. Let's go get a GC!

Bad news.....

It's not on eBay. I bet you have never seen it in Wal Mart, either.

(I have asked Santa to bring me one several times, but he has failed.)

Only U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) can give you one.

Yes, the process is very difficult, but once you get it, you are PR!!

Permanent Residents!

We will show you some ways to get it in the show!!

Love,

Naomi

Evelyn S. Oliver ~Director~

Evelyn S. Oliver

Writer/ Director/ Producer/ Editor of “The Testimony of a Devotee” and "Give Us Green Cards".

Evelyn S. Oliver has always had a love for film. In 2004, this Queens born filmmaker got her first experience in media at Center Media, an organization broadcasting TV and documentary segments about LGBT people of color in recovery. Through a partnership with Manhattan Neighborhood Network, Center Media taught Evelyn TV camera operating, digital camera operating, Final Cut Pro editing and documentary interview skills. She filmed and edited events for airplay on Manhattan Neighborhood Network including “The Speak Out Documentary”, “The No No Talent Show” and “The Outspoken Recovery Show.”

Evelyn’s goal in media is to to provide quality productions about women and young girls of color in film and theater. Considering the depiction of women of color in mainstream media she decided to form Sapphire Productions in 2005. Sapphire Productions also provides videography & editing services. Evelyn has filmed several personal family events for various clients.

In 2008, Evelyn became a member of the NY Film Collective (formally called Filmmakers & Actors who just Wanna Make Stuff), a group for filmmakers and actors to get together, pool their resources and make films.
The NY Film Collective allowed Evelyn to expand her skills and network with others just interested in making a quality project. Evelyn has created several shorts with the NY Film Collective including “Eddy n’ Rex (love the ladies) as Assistant Director & Editor, “One Dollar” as Co Director & Assistant Editor.

the trailer of "The Testimony of a Devotee"

In the summer of 2009, Evelyn decided to produce her first narrative short film “The Testimony of a Devotee". "The Testimony of a Devotee" is about a devoted, married woman who contemplates when to confront her cheating husband in the span of one week. Evelyn's reason for making the film was to explain the subject of infidelity and how it effects family. By the fall she pulled together a team of dedicated colleagues and friends. Her goal is to continue to create thought provoking media that reaches a variety of different audiences.
In early 2010, she joined the new sitcom project of SadKidsProductions, GIVE US GREEN CARDS. Currently she is editing the pilot episode.

Those are the perfect description for this role.
Naomi is one of the main character in GIVE US GREEN CARDS.
She is a student from Japan, and still very insecure about her English.
The first season starts when her best friend Clara, and she move in NYC.

Over 50 actresses in both Japan and the states applied for this role, and we found Saoko, very talented actress in NYC.

SadKidsProductions

Our new sitcom, GIVE US GREEN CARDS is produced by SadKidsProductions .

SadKidsproductions was established in 2006 in NYC, technically...in New Jersey, but let's say it was in NYC. Since then, we have filmed several shows and performed in comedy clubs in NYC.
I always have this idea that we should shoot a sitcom based on my dear best friend, Clara Campi's life. After 4 years, it finally has come true!
Here is the article which explains how we named our productions.

Shooting was just finished by incredibly talented DP Laura, director Evelyn, amazing actors and my assistant, Matt.
I would love to thank you all once again.

Love,
Naomi
